It's getting serious!
Business doing Business
Today was a big day for us, because the Business Pitch Presentation was coming up! Here, each team develops a fictitious business idea that must have something to do with the Formula Student car in some way and writes and presents the corresponding business plan. We had been working on this for months and we were really looking forward to finally being able to present our results. The jury was enthusiastic about our idea and we received great feedback. We are very proud of our business team for this brilliant achievement!
Immediately afterwards, we started preparing for the other two statics disciplines that were still to come: the cost and manufacturing report, including the real case, and the engineering design report. This is where the cost breakdown of the team and the car construction, as well as the engineering design of the car, are assessed in detail. These events are still to come today, which means the whole team has to iron their shirts - now it's time to get dressed up! Our team is motivated and ready to shine here too!
Event with four qualified drivers
The egress test was also on the agenda today: Here, every driver has to show that they are able to leave the car in an emergency in under 5 seconds. This was extremely important for our drivers, as they are only allowed to drive at the event if they pass the egress test. Congratulations to all our drivers who jumped out of Birdy in under 5 seconds and special praise to our first female driver, Theresa! Of course, a lot of videos were taken, but unfortunately no pictures. But we didn't want to withhold this beautiful screenshot from you 🙂
Meanwhile, our electrical team set off at 5 a.m. today to queue up for the scrutineering. After the time problems of the last few days, we are now very confident that it will work this time. We firmly believe in our team and are sure that we will also pass this scrutineering round.
Keep your fingers crossed for the upcoming tests so that our drivers can ride at the weekend.
